El Granada resident Stephanie Arbuckle has been making hats for over 20 years. She makes sun hats, cloche hats (also known as bucket hats) and rain hats for women from a variety of vintage and upcycled fabrics suited for both summer and winter climates.
Watch the video to see Arbuckle making one of her hats, and talking about her work.
Arbuckle's hats will be featured at a trunk show during tonight's Girls' Night Out event at Savvy Skirts, a boutique at the Shoppes at Harbor Village. Mocktails – apple pie shots sans the shot — will also be served. The milliner's wares, which are priced at $50 each, are regularly featured at the shop. They can also be viewed on her website here.
The event is part of Thursday's Local Nights at Harbor Village, a weekly evening of specials merchants launched this summer as a way to bring in more business. For more information, read an earlier article published here.
Girls Night Out and Locals Night at Harbor Village will take place from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at 270 Capistrano Road in Princeton.

Stephanie's hats are beautiful and functional. I love how simple the process of making a hat seems, and her years of experience show in the finished products. Great music to accompany the video too. I liked the close-up shots and when she put on the hats.
