Looking for Graphics Arts volunteers and Park related photos for Granada CSD (Parks) campaign

'm working with a group of people who are campaigning for the change from Granada Sanitary District to the Granada Community Services District, with the authority to operate parks.

We are looking for photos of park activities that we can use in the campaign. We'd prefer local photographs that are royalty-free. If you have digital photos that seem appropriate, and you are willing to allow us to use them, please contact me at daveolson@gmail.com.

We'd prefer that the people in the pictures are known to you, and that we can get releases from the people in the photos (or that the people aren't visually identifiable).

We are also looking for people with graphics arts background to help us with the campaign. If you are interested, please contact me at the email address above.

This is actually pretty funny. A made up marketing campaign of fake images of "active park" activities that the GSD board, in all reality, has no intention of really putting much effort into. This is a land grab, folks. Pure and simple. Trust the GSD Board if you like, but they are simply looking to collect more taxes and more land and provide no additional services. It is all about empire building.

Brian, we all are entitled to our opinions, and I won't try to argue yours. I think the facts are pretty clear, and stand on their own merit. I, of course, am in favor of Measure G! We don't want "fake images", we are looking for real pictures of real people, doing things that they like to do. Yes, we would like to convince people to vote, and even more, to vote Yes on Measure G.

Yes, the facts are indeed pretty clear - the people who make up the GSD Board majority do NOT have an interest in promoting active recreation (and no, hiking on meandering underdeveloped paths does not count). Unless, of course, you can show me how they have in the past? What efforts have they made towards fields? playgrounds? Anything?

This is about parks for activities, not open space Brian, no need to be concerned about that. I know some of the individuals on the board are very interested in creating parks for activities. As a board, they weren't allowed to do anything in that area given the charter of the GSD. That's what Measure G is all about; allowing the board to fund, create, and maintain local parks as a CSD.
