Measure G has won; we'll have local parks!

Thanks to all of you who voted Yes on Measure G, and to all of you who helped get it through LAFCo, and especially to everybody who worked on the election campaign!

Now we move on to planning for the parks!

What a joke. There will not be any "local parks" springing up any time soon. Your cheerleading is really funny though.

And yet, watch for Brian to object to any proposals to buy any land for parks. Fortunately, his opinion doesn't matter since he's not a constituent. Regardless, the first step will be improvements to the District-owned parcel on the Burnham Strip.

I am not going to object to anything a district that I do not live in does, but I can and will ridicule the decisions, often made to stop development. Your ratepayers are the ones getting fleeced, not me. Any improvements to an empty weed lot are very welcome. But why do you buy a piece of oceanfront land using $850,000+ of ratepayer money just to bury pipes under? Does that make sense from a ratepayer perspective? Of course not.
