Plenty of Salmon at Pillar Point Harbor

The salmon are back! Commercial fishermen are at Pillar Point Harbor, with their holds full of delicious, freshly-caught, local king salmon. They're selling whole fish, off the boat, at $8 /lb!

If you've never purchased whole fish off the boat, today's the day to try it. You can have your fish cut into fillets or steaks at the Princeton Seafood Fish Market for a nominal fee.

If you love fresh, wild, local salmon, this is as good as it gets. Many of the fish are bigger (20+ lbs.), so you might consider splitting a fish with a neighbor. If not, there will be plenty of fish lovers at the harbor today who will be willing to split a fish with you. And don't forget to bring a cooler to take your fish home!

As always, you can find out who's selling fresh, local, sustainable seafood by checking the FishLine(TM) Mobile App.  It's free, and available for iPhone/iPad, Android, and Kindle Fire devices.

There are plenty of rockfish, sole, and cod available, too.

And, it's sunny & gorgeous on the coast today!
