Billionaire Venture Capitalist Testifying in Martin's Beach Case

Billionaire venture capitalist and property owner Vinod Khosla is scheduled to appear in court on Monday in the trial to reopen Martin's Beach in San Mateo County to the public.

The Surfrider Foundation filed a lawsuit challenging that Khosla violated the California Coastal Act when he posted signs to detour visitors and closed public access to Martin's Beach after purchasing a 200-acre development The foundation hopes to reopen the beach to surfers and the public.

Superior Court Judge Barbara J. Mallach will preside over the trial at the San Mateo County Superior Court in Redwood City.
