COASTSIDE LAND TRUST RAPTOR WORKSHOP

Where/When: Workshop on Coastside birds of prey (hawks, eagles, falcons, kites and owls): 1–2:30pm at the Train Depot, 110 Higgins Canyon Road, Half Moon Bay; Tour: 3–5pm; meet at Smith Field at the end of Wavecrest Road, Half Moon Bay. Saturday, February 26, 2011.

Why Go: Learn from biologist and bird expert and Half Moon Bay local Alvaro Jaramillo at the workshop, then take a bird walk tour at Wavecrest afterwards with Jaramillo and Gary Deghi, Half Moon Bay birder and wildlife biologist.

Pricing: Workshop suggested donation: $15, seniors $5, under 18 free; Tour: free

Participants are advised to bring binoculars, dress in layers and wear sturdy, waterproof shoes.
