Photos: Great Pumpkin Parade Kicks Off Half Moon Bay's Pumpkin Festival

Here are some photos from this wonderful, colorful parade highlighting the Half Moon Bay community at its best.

The Great Pumpkin Parade: It's the ultimate old-fashioned small town parade down Main Street for Half Moon Bay's Art & Pumpkin Festival, celebrating everything pumpkin and the Half Moon Bay community at its best.

Saturday's parade for the 43rd Annual Art & Pumpkin Festival had all-time San Francisco Giants fan fave J.T. Snow serve as honorary Grand Marshal. Also featured was artist Peter Hazel's massive mosaic sculpture that measures 7-feet high, 12-feet wide, and weighs close to 7,000 pounds as well as Gary Miller's record breaking 1,985-pound gourd.

Farmer John and his biggest Coastside pumpkin were pulled down the street by his grandson on a pint-sized John Deere tractor. Half Moon Bay mayor Rick Kowalczyk, Councilmember Allan Alifano, the Ballet Folklorico dance troupe, Gymtowne gymnasts, Boys & Girls Club with the HMB Surf Club, Cougars cheerleaders, Cunha band, Coastside Mother's Club, Coastal Rep, and more followed.
