Pillar Point Harbor's 26th annual Lighted Boat Festival was a well attended event Saturday night with a special appearance by Santa Claus, music by the San Mateo Elks Concert Band and holiday carols by Half Moon Bay High School choir.
Harbor businesses from Mavericks surf shop to Princeton Pantry were open, Santa's Christmas boat and other vessels docked in the marina's slips were blazing with festive lights, Princeton Seafood Company gave away stuffed toy donations to visiting children, and local Boy Scouts sold wreaths.
The San Mateo County Harbor District also set up a "giving zone" and was accepting unwrapped gifts and canned goods for those in need these holiday season.
