You Know You’re a Real Peninsulan If …

SFGate’s “real locals series” moves to the Peninsula, highlighting life in the area through photos and captions culled together by San Francisco Chronicle writer Peter Hockaday and photojournalist Douglas Zimmerman. Previous places in the series include Oakland, Marin and San Francisco.

According to the series, “you know you’re a real Peninsulan if" you:

• Take your punkins to get pumpkins in Half Moon Bay.

• Secretly enjoyed the thrill of driving Devil's Slide and are bummed there's a tunnel there now.

• Know how to pronounce Duarte's and get the artichoke soup, not just the olallieberry pie.

There’s also a blurb on Mavericks and the view of the fog over 280 from the ridgeline off of Highway 92.
