CHAMARITA PHOTOS: Carnival Amidst the Crowns

Saturday's exchange of crowns at the Holy Ghost Festival preceded the evening's fun and dance at the I.D.E.S. Hall in Half Moon Bay.

In a formal ceremony on Saturday outside the I.D.E.S. Hall in downtown Half Moon Bay, the Crowns of Queen Isabel were passed from last year's Chamarita/Holy Ghost Festival queens to this year's queens.

A procession led from the I.D.E.S hall to Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church on Kelly Avenue for Mass and returned to the hall for the crowning.

Later in the day, the crowds came out to enjoy the weekend carnival in front of the Main St. building.

The Queens were then presented at the evening's dance while the bright lights of the carnival flashed outside the hall.
