The 2012 Pacific Coast Dream Machines event expanded to two days this year and there were plenty of machines and people to fill the weekend.
Antique contraptions drove by, flew overhead or sat percolating along the walkways of the festival. Where else can you touch a Nike Missile, peer into a dragster or talk to the person that set the motorcycle land speed record?
Over 1,000 cool cars from every era were on display. This photo essay is filled with tail fins and hood ornaments.
A Demolition Derby provided the main entertainment this year, and the crowds loved it. The small venue brought the action up close to the spectators.
Information on many of the machines in these pictures can be found in the "Highlights" column on the Pacific Coast Dream Machines web site.
