Getting Into Maker Faire For Free

San Mateo County DIY fest is the place to be for artists from all over the Bay Area.

Maker Faire organizers are calling for volunteers to help run the event this weekend. No experience is necessary, and you’ll learn what you need to know at the event. Volunteers will work the event for three hours and get to play the rest of the day, on either Saturday or Sunday.

Maker Faire is an annual event at the San Mateo Event Center where artists gather to create, build, and craft art of all kinds.

Bonus for bikers:

If you bike to the event, you can get $5 off the ticket price, which is $25 for adults, $15 for students, and $10 for kids 4-12 years old.  Children younger than 3 get in free.

Parking at the San Mateo Event Center is $17 for cars.

E-mail Gladwyn at makerfaire@bikesiliconvalley.org for more info.
