Moms Talk Q and A: "Race To Nowhere" Film

This controversial film has solicited a variety of viewpoints from parents all over the country. What is your opinion here on the Coastside?

"Race to Nowhere" is a documentary film that talks about the pressures -- and the costs -- on today's American kids to succeed through excelling in traditional academic environments (good grades, high test scores) and extracurricular activities. (See the trailer attached to this story).

The film has ignited debate -- some feel this environment is a good training ground for our kids, while others feel that this initiation into early adulthood and multitasking is counterproductive, and that our educational system and what it values should be changed.
