Painting a White Barn Through the Fog

Half Moon Bay's Plein Air Painters met this week on a misty day off Highway 1 south of Half Moon Bay.

Half Moon Bay's Plein Air Painters gather at a different location each Wednesday morning for a few hours to paint and enjoy each other's company. Each session is also a chance for painters to learn from each other.

Time permitting, the group gathers at the end of each session to share their morning paintings and talk further over lunch.

This time, the group met off Highway 1 south of Half Moon Bay to paint a white barn. The sun was supposed to shine that day, but they had nothing but fog.  The barn kept disappearing into the grey mist. Still, the artists were able to capture the landscape despite the weather.
