The exhibit by Half Moon Bay artist Judy Shintani now showing at Art Gallery in Half Moon Bay is an exercise in "deconstruction and reconstruction," according to the artist.
Shintani, of Japanese American descent, brings symbols of her cultural heritage, such as kimonos and parasols, and alters them as part of what she says is an "exploration between culture, time, and the spaces in-between."
