PHOTOS: July 4 Pooches on Parade

Dogs of Half Moon Bay Main St. parade steal the show.

With over 200 dogs participating in today's , the third annual was a resounding success. While some came in costumes matching those of their guardians, others wore festive ribbons and bandannas around their necks.

Organized by Half Moon Bay residents John and Marcia Traversaro, the parade within a parade was sponsored by the Half Moon Bay Rotary Club.

Once the parade was over, celebrants gathered at the park behind for a Bark B-Q, where dogs feasted on a special holiday lunch and the four-legged contingent showed off their smarts with an exhibition of pet tricks.
