The Dream Machines show held every year at the Half Moon Bay Airport is an excellent opportunity to photograph the detail art of classic automobiles. Sculptured and deco-style hood ornaments are rare on modern cars, so up-close views "on the hood" are rare treats. Highly polished chrome fixtures add a unique perspective to photos. Reflective surfaces are a challenge to photograph, but the results can be rewarding.
