More gingerbread creations on display in Half Moon Bay.

Update: Coastside Children's Programs Executive Director Agnes Chan reports that the organization raised $7,000 from their online auction and gingerbread house silent auction.

Youth, home cooks, and professional cooks all contributed to a gingerbread house contest sponsored by Half Moon Bay's .

The entries now on display at the will be sold to the highest bidder in a silent auction going on through Saturday. All proceeds will benefit low income children enrolled at Coastside Children's Programs.

A panel of judges will pick the winners in three categories: culinary professional, home cook, and children.

Winners will be announced at the hotel's tree lighting and holiday open house scheduled for this Saturday (no fee for admission or valet parking) from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

The event will include Christmas carols sung by the Aragon School Choir, a visit from Santa and complimentary cookies, cider and hot chocolate.
