VIDEO and PHOTOS: Grand Pumpkin Parade

Hundreds lined Half Moon Bay's Main St. on Saturday afternoon to see the show.

The largest event at the drew hundreds of observers to Main St. on Saturday afternoon.

Lucky viewers nabbed a front row seat on the curb or in lawn chairs. But even more craned their necks to see a mix of floats, costumed characters, dancers, a marching band, themed delegations from the Half Moon Bay community, and pumpkins — from the miniature pumpkin personally delivered by Farmer John Muller along the parade route (thank you, Farmer John!) — to the which broke the California state record at Monday's weigh-off.

Youth spectators scrambled to catch salt water taffy and other sweet treats thrown to the crowd as the floats and parade participants made their way down the route.
