VIDEO: Half Moon Bay Quilts Shine at County Fair
Local residents represented the city well at the San Mateo County Fair.
Away from the excitement of flashing carnival lights, pigs on parade and the continuous rotation of livestock competitions, a quieter part of the San Mateo County Fair beckoned to visitors.
The vibrant hues of paint, ink, and cloth rendered into drawings, sketches, paintings and quilts showed off the talents of local artists.
Half Moon Bay shone in the quilt division, where many works designed and stitched by locals were on display at the fair from June 11 - 19.
