Viewfinder: Half Moon Bay After Dark
There is more to see once everyone goes home.
Long exposure photography takes you beyond what your eyes can detect at night. Using star light, street lights, the moon and lights from passing cars, the camera reveals a view different then what the daytime sun provides. The pictures in this series have shutter speeds ranging from several seconds to several minutes, which requires a tripod, patience and a warm coat.
