Where's This in Los Gatos?

Here is the next in our Los Gatos Patch fun guessing game, a mystery photo showing something in plain sight, but close up or from an unexpected perspective. Readers must try to identify the object and its location.

Look up, look down, look close, look all around. Turn your head this way and that. This is an exercise in seeing outside the box. Extend the scope of your perceptions. This is a fun feature, so wild guesses and humorous responses are encouraged. Verbal and picture clues may be revealed during the week. Next week the answer will be revealed.

What is this strange plant? Any botanists out there care to give it a name? Any gardeners care to give us growing advice? What kind of flowers, or fruit do you expect to see?

Old Town gate

Mckenna, you had me worried that these things might be sprouting up all over town! But, no, this one is not at the Green Thumb Nursery. Bill got it right. See the new picture. This is the hinge on the back gate to Old Town, providing access to the Los Gatos Creek Trail and the Children's Art Bridge overcrossing to Forbes Mill. Bill, Sheila will be contacting you to arrange a prize. I told you Penelope was psychic. Two weeks ago she guessed that the footbridge at Vasona was in the back of Old Town. That psychic radar needs a little calibration. A couple miles or a couple weeks off, it can only get better. Los Gatos Patch readers are good at this game!

HI Bill, email me if you would like to get some Patch swag for guessing right! Good job! I usually meet with readers on Wednesdays and Fridays, time permitting. Next Wednesday I'm at Blvd. Coffee in Los Gatos and can either meet you there or at a coffee shop in Saratoga. My email: sheila.sanchez@patch.com. Thanks for participating!
