30 Years Of Macintosh To Be Celebrated on Jan. 25

Mac 30th will be held in the Flint Center auditorium, the same location Steve Jobs first introduced the Mac 30 years ago.

It's been nearly 30 years since Steve Jobs stood inside a dark, cavernous Cupertino auditorium before a bunch of invited onlookers and introduced the world to the Macintosh computer.

This month, the momentous event that changed the lives of many will be remembered on the same Flint Center stage, reports the CultofMac website.

The Mac 30th Celebration will start at 7 p.m. on January 25 to commemorate the Mac and the original Apple Mac development team. Sponsors are the Computer History Museum, Macworld/iWorld and All Planet Studios.

Tickets are available for mac30th event here.

A highlight of the event may be a showing of Ridley Scott’s1984 Apple Mac commercial, and a discussion afterward by those who conceived it.

Do you remember your first
Macintosh computer? Was it an Apple IIe or other?
