Montara Artists Exhibit at M Coffee

Photographs focused on nature, water and light display at Main St. cafe until Jan. 3.

Two photo exhibits by Montara residents Charie Harris ("What I See") and Michael Forte ("Water & Light") are currently on display at in Half Moon Bay.

Forte's photos feature a kaleidoscope of mixed colors reflected on water rendered into different tones and shapes by various light patterns.

"Anything can be a springboard toward experiencing the wonders of the world," Forte writes in his artist's statement.

Within her exhibit, Harris has three collections ("Riding alone 101N," "Local Faces and Places," and "Floral Prints").

Harris says that she prints her pieces using archival pigmented inks on 60 lb. linen textured paper, then mounts them and hand polishes them with a wax medium for protection.
