PHOTO OF THE DAY: Crab Pot Delivery...to Nowhere?

A moment caught on film before price negotiations stopped the Thanksgiving commercial season.

Half Moon Bay Patch reader and Moss Beach resident Ken Newton took this picture of crab pots heading towards Pillar Point Harbor for the commercial season earlier this month — before a price negotiation stalemate between large-scale buyers and fishermen led to the shutdown of the season for the Thanksgiving holiday.

As a result, crab pots are sitting en masse in the parking lot of Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay instead of being spread out off the California Central Coast.
