Sam's Chowder House Presents Japanese Consul General with Red Cross Donation

The presentation took place shortly before 12:30 p.m. today.

co-owner Paul Shenkman, Half Moon Bay Mayor Naomi Patridge, and City Councilmembers Marina Fraser and John Muller presented Hiroshi Inomata, Consul General of Japan, with an $8,759.15 check for Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief.

The money was raised during the Half Moon Bay seafood restaurant's one-day on April 1, when twenty percent of all profits were designated to be donated to the Japanese Red Cross.

After the presentation, Inomata and his staff joined city leaders, including City Manager Laura Snideman, for lunch at Sam's.
