UPDATE: Truckload of Baby Salmon to Arrive at Pillar Point Harbor Today
Juveniles to take up residence in net pens as part of effort to boost local population.
Update 5/10: 80,000 Chinook salmon smolts were released successfully this afternoon at Pillar Point Harbor. Come back soon for a video of the event.
Fishermen involved in an effort to boost the local population are scheduled to receive a truckload of juveniles this afternoon at , according to , a Half Moon Bay commercial fisherman involved in the project.
The baby salmon — also known as smolts — are arriving from the Feather River Hatchery in Oroville and will be installed in net pens at the harbor.

Anderson and other fishermen from the local Coastside Fishing Club have been working on the project since last fall after receiving state funding.
