Ocean Shore Hardware officially becomes Hassett Ace Hardware Monday with a new sign reflecting the store's family name.
Owners of the store decided to change its name last May, rebranding itself to honor the family's history as third-generation family-owned store with history dating back to 1905.
A commissioned custom mural by Brendan Foster that's hanging inside the store with the Ocean Shore name will become a nostaglic reminder of what the store was once called.
Palo Alto Ace Hardware, Willow Glen Ace, and Wisnom’s Ace in San Mateo, all part of the Hassett Ace Hardware family of stores, also made the name change.
