ADVISORY: Extra Travel Time Needed Driving 92 From Half Moon Bay to San Mateo

A disabled vehicle was reported to be blocking Highway 92 at Skyline Blvd.

Motorists traveling between Half Moon Bay and San Mateo should allow extra travel time while Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol work to clear a disabled vehicle blocking part of state Highway 92.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert at 4:27 p.m. for the stretch of Highway 92 just east of Skyline Boulevard, Officer Ralph Caggiano said.

A 2000 Ford utility truck became disabled shortly after 4 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of traffic, Caggiano said.

A Daly City police motorcyclist officer was also involved in the crash and sustained minor injuries, Caggiano said.

All lanes in both directions were temporarily shut down, Caggiano said, with both eastbound and westbound traffic now being directed along the westbound lanes.

A request was made for a tow truck to remove the Ford from the area, and Caggiano said it is unclear how that vehicle became disabled.

An oil streak along the roadway has also been reported, Caggiano said, although the extent of the spill was unconfirmed.
