Fiona Ma Getting Hitched at Long Branch Farms

San Francisco Assemblywoman Fiona Ma will tie the knot with firefighter-turned-politician Jason Hodge on Nov. 12 at Long Branch Saloon & Farms in Half Moon Bay, according to a SFGate article.

SFGate reports that the invites are a "Wanted" poster featuring a photo of the couple side-by-side, on horseback, which reads, "WANTED - Fiona Ma & Jason Hodge, for crimes of passion love and commitment."

The invitation goes on to read: "A public execution shall be performed on the 12th of November 2011. You have been invited to witness that the knot be tied and honored until death."

Guests are required to wear Western garb to the nuptials and Assembly Speaker John Pérez will attend as the county sheriff.

The ceremony will take place in a small chapel, but guests who can't cram in will be able to view the service through open doors, "like 'Little House on the Prairie,' " said Ma in the SFGate article.

The Chinese American Long Island native who has spent much of her adult life in San Francisco ended up planning a Western wedding because "we didn't want to have the same traditional, boring wedding and we knew a lot of people would want to come," said Ma in the SFGate report.

The Sacramento Bee reports that the San Francisco assemblywoman, who will be termed out next year, met Hodge while attending the state Democratic Party convention last year. According to the article, Hodge is a Ventura County firefighter and an Oxnard Harbor commissioner who is planning to run for the state Senate.
