Fair weather graced Sunday's traditional Portuguese procession from chapel to church.

The sun came out for the Charmarita parade in Pescadero. A band played traditional parade music and a pipe and drum corps from San Franciso delivered bagpipe music.

Half Moon Bay resident Alyssa Giannini, this year's Big Queen, delivered the symbolic crown from the I.D.E.S. Chapel to Saint Anthony's Catholic Church riding a flower-decorated cart known as a sulky. Giannini had recently suffered a knee injury playing softball for the San Jose StrikkerS 18 gold Cardinals, a fastpitch softball team.
