PHOTOS: Temperatures Drop to Freezing on Christmas

Cold weather shots from Christmas Eve and morning in Half Moon Bay and beyond.

Another chilly night and morning in the Bay Area has led to a freeze warning in parts of the region this Christmas morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS issued the warning late Saturday night and it will remain in effect until 9 a.m. this morning.

Portions of the San Francisco area are expected to see temperatures drop into the 20s and isolated spots could even briefly dip into the upper teens, weather officials said.

Cold and dry airmasses over the area and valleys with mostly clear skies and light wind will lead to lower temperatures, officials said.

Here are some photos from last night and this morning, showing a festive but chilly Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, warming up to a mild, sunny day. Coastsiders are out enjoying the day at Surfer's Beach and Pillar Point Harbor, and so are their pets and some wildlife.
