A -1.08 minus tide Saturday morning brought 26 harbor seals onto a favorite resting spot, a flat rock easily observed from the platform behind the Pigeon Point Lighthouse. I spotted at least 4 pups in the group.
Waves typically roll over that spot at high tide, but often, when there is room, 5 or 10 seals can be seen basking in the sun and posing for pictures. Even more seals were swimming underwater.
