Renovated Crystal Springs Rest Area to Reopen Today

Area located off I-280 north of Bunker Hill Road was closed for two years.

Caltrans will reopen the Crystal Springs Rest Area off of Highway 280 in San Mateo County today.

The rest area, which sits along northbound Highway 280 just north
of Bunker Hill Road, was closed two years ago for renovations, according to
Caltrans.

Among the additions and improvements are ADA-compliant restrooms, fresh landscaping and a new substation for the California Highway Patrol.

Caltrans officials will host a ribbon cutting to reopen the upgraded Crystal Springs Rest Area at 2 p.m.
