UPDATE: Planned Two-Day Closure of Sawyer Camp Trail Canceled

The early arrival of rain this week will cause the planned maintenance work to be rescheduled.

Though the Sawyer Camp Trail was scheduled to be closed Wednesday and Thursday this week so crews could perform necessary work to prepare for the upcoming rainy season, that work has been canceled. Because rain came sooner than previously expected, the work will be rescheduled.

The planned maintenance will include the arrival of 100 trucks that will deliver materials for contruction of a new access road parallel to the pipeline that will enable repairs without driving on the Sawyer Camp Trail.

The work is part of the to the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System.
