For those shaken by the horrific events that transpired this morning, be assured we are doing everything possible to keep San Mateo County safe this and every day. Remember if you see someone or something suspicious, your best call is a call to 9-1-1!

CAL FIRE: CAL FIRE joins the Nation in sending our heartfelt thoughts to the victims and families of the Boston Marathon Explosion. The City of Boston has set up a hotline for families trying to locate loved ones (617-635-4500) www.cityofboston.gov

KEEP CAL FIRE shared George Takei's photo and writes: It is moments like today when you are reminded how important our first responders are in tough situations and everyday...Please pray for the families and friends of the victims...and all the first responders...We shall overcome.

Coastside Running Club: CRC runners Amanda, Sean, David, and Eric are confirmed okay. The club's heart goes out to everyone effected by this devastating act. By safe, always.

San Mateo County Congresswoman Jackie Speier: We mourn the loss of life and the massive injuries sustained by so many people at the Boston Marathon today. As law enforcement sifts through the rubble for clues of motive, we are reminded that we live in perilous times and vigilance by all of us is critical. If you see something, say something. Justice will be done.
