A free informational seminar focusing on promoting and maintaining health in seniors is set for 6 p.m. at the Half Moon Bay Library, 620 Correas St. Presented in cooperation with New Leaf Community Markets.

Half Moon Bay Planning Commission
The 7 p.m. meeting will be at a new meeting location, the Department Operations Center, 537 Kelly Ave., Half Moon Bay. Among agenda items are a public hearing on a use permit and height exception for the construction of a new single-story residential home on a substandard lot at 439 Valdez Ave.
Wednesday
Half Moon Bay Recreation Committee
The 6 p.m. meeting will be at City Hall, 501 Main St., Half Moon Bay. New business on the agenda includes discussion and input on the community center usage plan; discussion on Smith Field and the Coastal Development Permit Process.
Thursday
San Mateo County Parks Department is holding a public meeting to present conceptual plans for the Devil’s Slide Trail and to receive public comments. The meeting is set for 7 to 9 p.m. at Cypress Meadows Conference Center, 343 Cypress Avenue, Moss Beach.
Friday
Coastal Repertory Theatre Company’s production of the iconic 1960s American tribal love-rock musical continues at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and 2 p.m. Sundays, through Aug. 10 at 1167 Main St., Half Moon Bay. Tickets for adults are $30, seniors/students, $22 on Fridays-Saturdays, and $25 adults, $17 students on Sundays. 650-569-3266.
Saturday
Adoptable kittens, cats, and dogs that are looking for new homes. All animals are healthy, spayed/neutered, current with vaccinations and microchipped. At 11 a.m. Half Moon Bay Library, 620 Correas St. 650-726-3700.
