VIDEO - PETS OF THE WEEK: Floppy, Schatzi, Maxie

This week, meet a lop-eared rabbit, an energetic rat terrier, and a mellow indoors cat -- all available for adoption at the Peninsula Humane Society in San Mateo.

Floppy, 3-year-old male Lop rabbit (see photo and video attached)

My name is Floppy and I’m a male, gray Lop rabbit. I’m just a little over three years old and I’m looking forward to joining a loving and fun family! I’m a calm and mellow fellow that likes to lounge next to a companion for TLC more than doing sprints around the track. That said, I’m also an agile and adventurous guy, hopping from one place to another to see what’s going on around me. My ID number is A493834. (Description written by Peninsula Humane Society)

Maxie, 12-year-old female tabby cat (see photo and video attached)

I am cuddly Maxie, a 12 year old spayed female. I have a medium-length coat and Oriental Tabby coloring. I am very friendly, curious and outgoing. I love to rub my head against your hand or anything, and may even lick your hand! I will also sit in our lap and enjoy receiving and giving affection. I can be adopted by a first time pet owner and a family who has children. I can live with other household cats and possibly dogs. One of my adoption requirements is that I will need to be kept indoors only due to my senior age. Please ask for Maxie, ID A489985. (Description written by Peninsula Humane Society)

Schatzi, 8-year-old female Rat Terrier (see photo and video attached)

I’m Schatzi, an 8-year-old altered female Rat Terrier. Don’t let my age fool you I am still as spry as they come. I’m friendly, outgoing and ready to play. I LOVE to chase and retrieve tennis balls and then hide them.  It's my favorite thing to do.  BUT...I can also be calm and quiet. I am looking for a new owner with some prior breed experience, and a house with a yard t play in.  I can get along with other dogs, but I don’t know how I feel about cats. I would do well in a home with adults and/or children over the age of 8. Please come visit me at PHS and ask for Schatzi #A492891. (Description written by Peninsula Humane Society)
