It's a common Internet meme, but I don't think it's really been done in Half Moon Bay ... or maybe it has.
In any event, the prompt is, "You know you're in Half Moon Bay when ..."
I know I'm in Half Moon Bay when I see neighbors taking their sheep for a walk around the block, or when I'm pumping gas next to a man wearing a cowboy hat and driving a Ford SuperTruck, or when a horseback rider trots by my house and offers my kids a ride.
Anyone who isn't yet a Half Moon Bay Patch Facebook fan is missing out on some lively answers to this post I made last week.
Here are some of the best so far:
Jennifer Castner: "There's a horse and rider pressing the crossing light button on Hwy 1."
Leslie Ender: "You smell the lovely broccoli fields!" and "You can't tell the guy who makes millions from the broke surfer dude."
Joan Sweeney Dentler: "The dogs in the back of my car stand up, stick their noses to the windows and start wagging their tails as we approach Pillar Point!"
Norma Avery: "Your lungs and sinuses clear up due to all the fresh air!"
Kevy Nova: "You're happy."
