For 30 years SF saxophonist Dawan
Muhammad
has not only been creating and performing jazz, but quietly behind
the scenes he has been organizing, documenting, producing to bring music back
to the communities where jazz once flourished.
LifeForce Jazz, co-founded in the early nineties by Dawan and the great
Billy Higgin, has a mission to provide youth and adults with a solid foundation
