Coastside Land Trust's Habitat Restoration Workday

Coastside Land Trust's habitat restoration efforts continue this weekend on the historic Railroad Right-of-Way conservation easement in Half Moon Bay. A herd of 450 goats and sheep have just finished their annual grazing of the property, completing the first step in a long term management plan to increase biodiversity and promote native grasses and wildflowers on the easement. The next step is to remove the trash, recyclables, and other invasive plants that the herd exposed during their grazing.

We need your help to conduct this work and make an impact on the beautiful coastal prairie open space. Bring family and friends and enjoy sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean while you help restore a rapidly diminishing habitat on the California coast.

Wear sturdy shoes, layers, and sun protection. CLT will provide tools and bags.

Check in, light refreshments, and orientation at 9:45 am.
