Community Corner

El Granada Neighborhood Community Watch Program

Dear Fellow Coastside Residents,

Our proposed Coastside Neighborhood Community Watch Program is designed to reduce crime, improve safety, and enhance the quality of life for all Coastside residents.
Nationally Neighborhood Watch programs have consistently reduced the risk of burglaries by 40% to 70%. (NATW, 2006). All Coastside residents take great pride in our nostalgic Coastal way of life, and everyone endeavors to preserve our small town roots. The main goal of our Coastside Neighborhood Watch program is facilitating communication tools based on the needs of each individual neighbor and neighborhood.

Please support your fellow neighbors by participating in safety awareness night and attend your local NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2014, on Tuesday, August 5th 2014. All Mid-Coast residents and families are invited to attend a FREE BBQ at Quarry park (Santa Maria Ave, El Granada, CA 94019) on Tuesday, August 5th 2014 from 6:00P.M-8:00 P.M as we strive to further strengthen our community solidarity efforts over free food and family fun. Please RSVP the total number of people planning to attend by emailing CoastsideWatch@Gmail.Com to insure there is enough food for everyone in attendance.

In the meantime please stay connected with your fellow neighbors by selecting your appropriate local neighborhood and creating a local private social networking account at www.NextDoor.Com.
All private hyper-local areas at NextDoor.Com have restricted access based on the verification of your address in proximity to your local neighbors. Lastly, please periodically visit our new Coastside Neighborhood Community Watch website @ www.CoastsideWatch.comand follow our social media profiles for impending details on a preliminary Coastside Neighborhood watch meeting (TBA) later this year.

Help preserve the integrity of our safe and laid-back coastal way of life. Please support us in strengthening our long-standing community ties and local collaboration efforts. When the public approaches community problems in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation, there are no challenges that we cannot overcome together.

We appreciate your interest in our Coastside Neighborhood Watch program and look forward to working with you in keeping the coast a safe place to live, work, and raise our children.

Please email CoastsideWatch@Gmail.Com or visitwww.CoastsideWatch.com for more information.

Thank-You for your support and we genuinely look forward to keeping in touch.

Sincerely,
David Seaton
