Sanctuary Stewards Class with Save Our Shores

Save Our Shores is currently recruiting for the Sanctuary Stewards class of 2013.  We are seeking a dedicated group of volunteers to apply for a free educational training program beginning on Thursday, February 21st and concluding on Thursday, April 11th.  Classes will be held once a week on Thursday evenings from 6:30- 8:30pm at the First Congregational Church as well as the new Sanctuary Exploration Center, both in Santa Cruz. These courses will focus on Save Our Shores history, the importance of marine protected areas, plastic pollution's impact on our oceans, sustainable seafood, public speaking skills, etc.  The stewards then graduate to become SOS representatives in our extended Central Coast community by leading beach cleanups, giving educational presentations and doing public outreach.  Save Our Shores is excited to increase our presence in San Mateo and welcomes applicants from this region.

Please visit our website to apply (www.saveourshores/stewards) or email Rachel (Rachel@saveourshores.org) for more information.  Thank you!
