Farm Volunteer Day

We're having another Volunteer Day at Potrero Nuevo Farm on Saturday, July 27. We start at 9:00 and do light fieldwork - weeding and planting - until noon (come for all or part) and follow it with a potluck lunch. Since 85% of our produce is donated to the Coastside low-income community, your work helps get food to families in need. Everything is kid-friendly, so bring the family.

Would you like a box of fresh veggies, maybe some homemade jam and pastured eggs, too? Here's your opportunity - our farm managers, Jay & Suzie Trexler, through their new venture, Tunitas Creek Kitchen, are offering Custom Farm Stand boxes. These are available only periodically through the year, but if you order one now, they can have it available for pick up on the Volunteer Day.

If you're going to volunteer, wear layered clothes and comfy shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and bring sunscreen on the off chance we have sun on a typically Coastside foggy summer day.

Directions are here  Someone recently stole the road sign, so if you're coming from the north, at 8 miles south of HMB you'll see a sign that says "Narrow Bridge." ~100 feet past that, and before the bridge, turn left onto Tunitas Creek Road. There's a small wooden sign that says Potrero Nuevo Farm. Go one mile and we're on the left.

Email bill@potreronuevofarm.org if you have any questions. It's a fun day. Remember to bring a dish to share at our potluck lunch.
