Half Moon Bay Main Street Bridge Project

The City of Half Moon Bay is hosting two scoping meetings regarding the Main Street Bridge Project Environmental Review Process.

The Main Street Bridge over Pilarcitos Creek was constructed in 1900. Based on bridge inspection reports that identified substantial structural and functional deficiencies in the existing structure, the City is evaluating the following three alternatives for the Main Street Bridge: rehabilitation/widening; replacement; and a "no project" alternative.

The upcoming scoping meetings are part of the public participation process associated with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and will solicit public comment on the scope and content of information to be included in the Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Assessment (EIR/EA).
