Historic Westin St. Francis Unveils One of the Country's Largest Holiday Sugar Castles

The Westin St. Francis Executive Pastry Chef
Jean-Francois Houdré will unveil his signature 12-feet rotating holiday sugar
castle in the Landmark Lobby of The Westin St. Francis.



The public is encouraged to attend.
Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be served.



Originally created in 2005, this magnificent
Sugar Castle continually grows more spectacular each year. Resembling a French
Chateau, it weighs over 1,300 pounds and feature more than 20 grand circular
towers, approximately 30 rooms, illuminated windows and is surrounded by a
quaint village and a running train.

New this year, and in celebration of the
hotel’s upcoming 110 anniversary on March 21, 2014, is the addition of the top
newsmakers over the past century on display throughout the castle. Spectators
will enjoy locating and identifying these life-like elf replicas of politicians,
celebrities, athletes and well-known personalities.



There is also a new snow village with an
ice-skating pond where elves can be seen having fun in the snow and sliding
down the hillside.
