Meeting about Food! With League of Women Voters of North and Central San Mateo County

The League of Women Voters is conducting a national study to
update the League’s agriculture policy.
Please join us to hear about: 1. Technologies used in agriculture, such
as GMO’s, pesticides, herbicides, and antibiotics as well as new tools used on
farms.  2. How natural processes
often related to climate and weather affect practices and decision-making, and
3. The role of government in regulating and supporting the food industry.

Our speakers are: 1.  Virginia Bolshakova, Med, PhD – County Director/Elkus Ranch
Director/4H YDP Advisor, UC Cooperative Extension San Mateo and San Francisco
Counties.  2. Fred Crowder –
Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures of San Mateo County.

This meeting should provide plenty of food for thought and
discussion.
