Coastal Rep Celebrates 33 Nominations for BroadwayWorld Awards

Coastal Repertory Theatre has received 33 nominations for this year's BroadwayWorld San Francisco Awards, which strives to give the Bay Area's favorite stars and shows the recognition they deserve. 

BroadwayWorld.com provides comprehensive coverage of all things theater from Broadway and Off-Broadway to regional theater happening in 100 U.S. cities and 30 countries worldwide. BroadwayWorld's annual awards, known as the "Theater Fan's Tonys," is a chance for theater fans to vote on their favorite productions and performers with categories similar to the Tony Awards. 

Coastal Rep was nominated in multiple categories for the 2013 BroadwayWorld San Francisco Awards, currently open to the public for votes. Those categories are:

• Best Community Theatre
• Theatre of the Year
• Best Production Performed By Youth (C.T.C. Peter Pan)
• Acting nominations, including some for Coastal Rep's great young talent Klara Laguardia, Finn Rollings, Francesca Izzo and Sammy Shufton
• Technical nominations for Bob Mitton, Lisa Claybaugh, Kimberly Krol, Valerie Clear and Roxane Ashe received multiple nominations
• Eight of the theater company's performers were named "Performers to Watch"
• "Diary of Anne Frank" received 14 nominations including Best Play
• "Hair" received 10 nominations including Best Musical
