The is fast approaching, and you’ve had all summer long to think about what works and what needs fixing at your school.
With so many recent changes at Coastside schools, from Sea Crest to Cabrillo District schools,we want to hear from you about what you’re excited about or completely dissatisfied with. Change brings opportunity so here's your chance to make a difference by voicing your opinion about our schools.
Wilkinson School has seen some renovations; Sea Crest has a new head master and marketing director. Cabrillo schools are experiencing a new superintendent, new principals and teachers, budget cuts and the addition of some exciting new programs.

Compared to so many areas around the country, the Coast almost can't be beat for its Pacific Ocean location and combination of beauty, small town charm, community spirit, and proximity to a gorgeous city and the majestic redwoods.
But that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement, especially when it comes to our schools. So what needs fixing? If you had a magic wand, what would you change, if anything? Smaller class sizes? Maybe a new principal? Better yard duty? More elective or enrichment programs? Different provider for hot lunch?
Or what's working for you? The HEAL program? Art, music? Cunha's new soccer fields? Love the high school's open campus? Have a favorite teacher that needs recognition?
This isn't a fruitless exercise. We'll turn some reader-prompted Rants and Raves into stories, following up with the right sources on the questions you want answered or the problems you want solved.
Now put us to work. Your forum is just below in the comment box. The only restriction? Don't get too personal. This isn't a spot for character assassinations, OK? Constructive criticism is the way to go here.
So, rant and rave away!
