Small Water Outage in Montara This Morning

Apparent cause is an accidental breach of water main by local contractor.

Approximately 35 to 50 residences are without water today in northwest Montara after a local contractor apprarently breached a water main by accident, according to an alert sent out by the San Mateo County Alert System by Owen Yoch after 9 a.m. this morning.

Crews are currently on site to correct the problem. Restoration is expected in four to six hours, according to the alert.

The approximate area affected includes from Third St. north and Farallone Ave. west to Highway 1, Yoch reported.
